Thank you to all who voted to elect me your Zone 3 Councilman by a 56-44 margin of victory!  --Mike

FROM THE
NEWS

On April 7, the voters of Zone 3 elected Mike to represent them on the Springfield City Council.  He told the Springfield News Leader that his grassroots campaign of walking the neighborhoods and talking to people made a big impression on voters, many of whom did not know who their current council person was.  Mike plans to change that and encourages citizens to contact him with any needs he can assist them on regarding Springfield business.

Mike Has Walked Zone 3

From the beginning of his campaign, Mike has traveled Zone 3 on foot speaking to Springfield citizens, listening to their concerns and reminding them of how through regular Town Hall meetings as a state rep for 8 years he stays in touch and responds to peoples' needs.

This letter appeared in the Springfield News Leader, March 26:

We are delighted that Mike Schilling is running for Zone 3 of the Springfield City Council. For the eight years Mike represented us in Jefferson City, he was always responsive to letters and calls, almost every month he would hold a town hall meeting somewhere in our district, and we always felt he was in touch with our needs. He helped bring home millions of dollars in funding for the MSU library expansion. For his experience, his plans to help grow the Springfield economy and promote jobs for working people, we support Mike Schilling.
